What type of treatment better suits your needs?

Therapeutic Massage

Whether you’re looking for relief from the tension that has been creeping up in your neck and shoulders from your long hours at work, or you’re preparing for a race and hoping to improve your body’s strength and flexibility, or you’re dealing with the remnants of a previous injury, therapeutic massage can help you achieve your goals. I take pride in my ability to tailor my treatments to each individual client. After a thorough assessment, I make use of a variety of modalities of massage therapy including Swedish massage, myofascial trigger point therapy, cupping massage, CranioSacral Therapy, client education and homecare to better help my clients achieve their wellness goals.

Perinatal Massage

Pregnancy & Postpartum Massage

From relieving aches and pains from the extra strain placed on your pregnant body to reducing edema (swelling) in the feet and ankles, massage therapy is a great modality to help ease the discomfort associated with growing a little person and make you more at ease with your rapidly changing body.

Pregnancy massage treatments are very similar to Therapeutic Massage treatments unless your main concern is the position of your baby. Balancing soft tissues in a pregnant person can help create more space to help babies get into an optimal position. Releasing tight muscles and ligaments can help make you more comfortable and also gently encourage baby to turn head down.

After the great physical feat of carrying a person (or more!) inside of you and bringing them into the world, your body needs nourishment, rest and love. Postpartum massage can be similar to a Therapeutic Massage treatment but is typically much gentler, as your body is recovering and adjusting.

Pediatric Massage

Massage for kids

We’re never too old or young to start taking care of our bodies! Massage therapy for kids can help in the same way it does adults. It provides pain relief from sports injuries, heavy backpacks, growing pains, and poor posture. It encourages relaxation and provides a safe space for kids to unwind and allow their smaller bodies to return to equilibrium after a stressful week. Special focus is given to consent and reinforcing body boundaries.

Massage for Pelvic Health

A Registered Massage Therapist trained in pelvic health can help you deal with issues of incontinence, chronic pelvic pain, pain during menstrual cycles, discomfort during urination or bowel movements, pain with intercourse, diastasis recti, chronic low back pain, etc. I work collaboratively with pelvic floor physiotherapists in the community to treat pelvic health issues through the mobilization of soft tissues.

TMJ Massage

Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMJD) can cause a host of symptoms, from clicking jaw and headaches to tinnitus, sensitive teeth and hearing loss. It is  often caused by bruxism (jaw clenching), postural dysfunction, malocclusion (bite issues), trauma and muscle overuse. TMJ treatments can include both external work on the face, neck and head as well as intra-oral work (inside the mouth with a gloved hand), following the client’s comfort level.
